What would be your advice to someone starting up the journey of building he/her Instagram page...

Starting up on Instagram can be challenging, so here's what you should consider
1. work on your profile - profile pic, bio optimization
2. choose wisely your niche/sub niche (look at similar accounts and see if it suits you and if you can add your personal note)
3. create quality content and post constantly (more is better in the beginning) - at least 3-4 times/week and maximize the results with reels, stories, and carousels.
4. make a hashtag research and use them at every post (helps you reach new people and gain more followers faster)
5. use viral audio ( also helps you reach more people)
6. research trends and adapt them to your type of content (very important - don`t copy them, adapt them!)
7. follow people in your niche (interested in your type o content)
8. engage with your audience (like, comment) and grow your community (build trust)
9. do crossposting, collaborations, and shoutouts.
10. do giveaways, discounts, and promotions for your community (and for/by growing your community)
11. use analytics tools and discover what works or not. Readapt your strategy accordingly.
12. Have fun and patience - you need to enjoy what you are doing and you need to have patience, growing an IG account takes time.

3. Use relevant hashtags: Hashtags help people find your content. Research and use relevant hashtags that match your niche and audience. Don't overdo it with hashtags because that can look spammy.
4. Engage with your audience: Respond to comments and messages from your followers. Replying to comments will increase engagement on your posts.
5. Create visually appealing content: Use high-quality images and videos and edit them properly before posting. Creating aesthetically pleasing content is crucial in attracting and keeping followers.
6. Collaborate with influencers: Collaborating with other creators can help increase your reach and grow your audience. Reach out to other Instagrammers in your niche and offer to collaborate on a post or story.

I would suggest you to grow your account organically. There are many shortcuts that would only benefit you for short terms. But if you grow your account with real engagement and followers, this will help you to make real connections and build a reliable business.

I started an account to review local restaurants in my city a couple of months ago, it just crossed 269 followers, i have promoted 2 posts in total, I would suggest the same, but because of my niche i cant post 2-3 times a week because that would be very expensive to go out to eat 2-3 times a week, i go out once a week anyways so i try a new restaurant and make a reel about it. I project around 10 thousand followers by the end of the year.
Because this is a very niche and area specific account, those 10000 will be worth a lot. Here restaurants usually invite (with pay and free food) food bloggers wtih over 10k followers to review their restaurant or when they are launching new food item.
I will be promoting posts 2 times a month each time for $6 for 5 days, projecting 200-300 followers at the start (already got over 130 followers with the last promotion within 5 days of promotion 1 day still remaining) and when the account gets bigger i am hoping for more followers with the same kind of promotion and it also comes with more engagement and views.
So i would advice you the same. Make original content, promote it a couple of times a month to get the ball rolling.

Focus on doing niche based collabs
Engage with your niche audience with follows and likes and story likes.
Post reels regularly.

Your photos and videos should be well-lit, well-composed, and visually appealing. Make use of popular and niche hashtags and be consistent in your content.
