Building Fake Numbers for My Startup – Need Advice

I have a startup with a strong product in development that has proven market demand, along with a landing page already set up. However, I haven't started generating leads yet. When I begin, I want to create the appearance of artificial traction to showcase impressive numbers — such as social media followers, sign-ups, or engagement — without actively engaging with those leads or users. Our plan is not to sell for at least a year, so we have plenty of time to build real traction and convert leads naturally, but in the meantime, we want to create the illusion of success to build credibility and attract attention.
