So I have been seeing a lot of people saying you need to build backlinks for your backlinks, but what is the proper way to do this without software? and if I need software to do this in bulk (safely) what software is preferred?

If your tier 1 links are good, there is no need to have any tier 2-3-4-5 links.

Just sayin...

IT's called Tiered Strategy. You wont get much results going with tier 2 or 3. You can use a tool like GSA SER for Tier 2 or 3, But for Tier 1 you need to go manual as much as possible.

Doing tier 2 and tier 3 manually is way too hard. Make use of popular like GSA. In tier 2 and 3 it is more of quantity not much of the quality.

I prefer moneyrobot and backlinkbeast as tools then add a good fiverr link pyramid. I believe strongly in pairing services and come up with visible SEO growth everytime.

You do not need any software if you know good whitehat link building.
Start posting on High PR websites and post good content.

You money website (where you make the money) will be tier 0.
The backlinks pointing to your money website will be tier 1.
The backlinks pointing to your backlinks from tier one will be tier 2.
And so on...

Its always better to do manual work. It gives you better results, although it requires more time and effort.
