Building Authority Site from Scratch [BLACK HAT LOOT]

I will be starting a case study today based on black hat SEO. This is not a churn and burn project, I will actually be building a quality authority site for a specific niche and ranking it using black hat SEO methods. I will create a authority site from scratch, and explain in detail each step of the process and my statistics (traffic, earnings, etc.). Above all I'm going to learn more from this project and hone my black hat skills in the coming months.

My goals with BLACK HAT LOOT -

• The first goal is to help you to be able to do the same: start your own authority site. I will be sharing what I am doing in the form of tutorials+graphics and updating the thread as and when there's an update.

• The second, of course, is to generate profit at least $500 per month in a span of 6-8 months. 6-8 months since it's not 2010 anymore and takes time to setup and rank a quality authority site. Now Google is becoming more smarter and it's complicated to beat it.

• To keep myself motivated, organized and accountable. Sure I have projects going on as well, but I will make sure I post enough updates since a lot of journey threads in here become inactive after a while.

Here are the steps I plan to cover in the next week -

• Choosing a niche and a main keyword
• Domain Name and site setup
• Building a Monetization model
• Producing initial content quickly (~20 articles)
• Build a web 2.0 network and juice it up with GSA
• Generate some early SERP gains

Each step will have a tutorial of its own below and I will be answering all sorts of replies/question also. All suggestions are welcome.

yeah sure this journey is on....I hope it should start generating some income soon. No matter how much time it takes, I will stick to it like Wizard's Twitter journey. I will also test out some of the black hat services in here.

How to Select a Profitable Niche

First of all, not all niches are created equal, some niches are more profitable than others. So ideally we should be able to find a low competition, highly profitable niche, right? What if I tell you these niches don't exist. A niche is competitive for a reason - it is profitable. Just look at the amount of authoity sites in the multi billion $ health and fitness niche.


Here are some basic profitable niches I can recall off the top of my head -

• Health and Fitness
• Insurance and money
• Dating/relationships (Pickup, etc are very profitable)
• Self Improvement
• Hobbies
• Make money online
• Cooking/kitchen

Niche Scouting

So I started looking for niches where buyer traffic is found in hordes -

• Clickbank
• Amazon
• Current Trends
• Google

Clickbank

Set gravity to >35 and then scout the results for niches. If a product that has - for example - Gravity=30 but but was launched very recently. This could indicate that the market for this product is expanding and it might be worth pursuing. Conversely, a gravity of 200 which was released a few years back could indicate that the market is now saturated and may be difficult to carve out a space in it. I am giving this example just for the ideas.

Do not get overwhelmed by the results, store all the results that seem interesting in a notepad file and then analyze it later.

Amazon

Look for the bestsellers page and try to niche down from there. It is the best way method for sure.

Offervault

Nothing complicated here. Each product has a potential market niche associated with it that is ready to be exploited. Pay attention to commisions also. High commisions = more profitable niche

Trendwatching

A new market that is booming might be the perfect niche to create an authority site around.

Google

Use the following queries for scouting more niches and drilling down even more -

• Best (or best selling) NICHE products of MONTH YEAR
• niche "affiliate program"
• niche "Affiliate Software by Post Affiliate Pro"
• niche "by Omnistar Affiliate Software"
• niche "Affiliate Software by iDevAffiliate"

Let's say for making an "authority site" in the ab niche, I will be creating a site on ab exercises and then promoting ab machines along with informative articles. An authority site must have a relatively broad niche as compared to a review site that features only ab machines.

What we are aiming for -

Example 1 -

Fitness >> Exercises >> Ab exercises (authority site niche) >> ab machines (review site niche)

Example 2 -

Fitness >> Nutrition >> Supplements (authority site niche) >> Preworkout (review site niche)
