Building an IG Empire

Hello All,

I have been moderately successful with my own software development company. Myself and the team are specialized in API development and integration.

Eight months back tried to expand into digital media services mainly web design. Halfway through the expansion lost interest in it since the designing is not something natural to me and the inadequate response from the leads I have tried.

Once again I am trying to expand into media services. This time planning to build a group of IG accounts.

The plan is as follows
  1. Build category oriented IG accounts with quality content and high engagement
  2. Acquire a minimum of 1M+ followers in a year. No monetization during this time.
  3. Monetize the account by exclusively tying up with Fortune 5000 or big social media agencies

I would like to know what is the planning as idea's are many but proper implementation is important.
 
I have few ideas, that I want to experiment on building IG accounts. Also just now bought @IGKing ebook. Would read it completely in next 7 days.

Across the social media, we can find user-generated quality content available. Problem is they are not curated. For eg, a random person might post quality photos of their own cat photos in a costume. I could curate "cats on costume" posts across the SM, and create an IG account for it. I would get permission from author and tag him/her on IG.

This is a rough idea. Would be experimenting on this initially.

One question I do have is how many accounts do you plan on setting up and growing to 1 Mill?

I am aiming for the moon.
Planning to set up 10-20 accounts within next 30 days and one year from now I want to reach 1M+ on at least 10 accounts

I know this is a crazy goal, however, I would be doing following things
  1. I would restrict myself to strategy and planning
  2. Will be hiring a minimum of 2 employees full time for the maintaining the accounts
  3. Open to spend few hundred dollars on each account for promotions like ads, shout-outs etc
  4. Since I myself and team are specialized in API, would be using those skills for high-quality content curation
