Building an email list

Hey all -

I'm looking to do media / adwords buys to build an email list, warm it up and then direct it to an CB product page.

Wondering if anyone has any experience in this? The cheapest platforms to get the emails from? What kind of email engagement can I expect?

How would I frame the landing page also for different sources? Say Adwords - do I land on a landing page asking to input an email? How do I incentivize the visitor to submit the email?

I have used Bing traffic to build an email list but that's already more than a year ago. Adwords got much better volume than BING, but it is pricey.

You incentivize by giving away something for free that people want. The higher the incentive, the bigger the chance of the sign-up. You could try to use leadpages or clickfunnels for your squeeze pages. I got some pretty good conversion rates from those pages..
