Building An Authority Site

I want to build an authority site/blog but just a little confused as to how big i can grow it.

Ie:
A site about fitness and health, then you add beauty, and fashion, grooming.


(Content being good quality)
Can you build a site like this or would it be considered spam in google's eyes?
(getting links from fitness, health, beauty, fashion sites)

Or is it okay if the fitness links are going to the fitness categories only, health links to health,...

But obviously some most links would point to homepage.


YellowPages gets links from anywhere and everywhere and they rank at the top for everything.
(I know its a huge authority directory but it had to start from nothing at one point)


Any thoughts or advise?

Nothing of what you said indicates that you want to build an authority site. An authority site is from... like... an authority.... on a topic. You sound like you want to spam some low quality junk at the algorithm The days of the content farms are over.

I think the more specific your niche the better - I used to also make the mistake of trying to target a massive subject or subjects - because I was obsessed with having some humongous site with hundreds of thousands of works of content, but the bigger you try to make the site the bigger the task in front of you.

Much better to pick a small niche and make a very high quality site on a particular topic. IMHO.

I have information overload like you wouldn't believe. I've been trying for a year now. Made about $70.

When you haven't done it before and haven't seen success its very discourging. People that have done it before keep saying how easy it is.

When you people having huge success, posting screen shots of ridiculous number. You get insanely jelous. Man, if i could get 10% of the success that guy's having, i'd been happy. Really sucks when you have to go back to work at your shitty shitty job that pay minimum wage, yet they still demand the world from you.

enough of my rant and bitchin.

I know its success is in my own hands and i have to do it myself.

My goal is to make over 3,000/m within the next 6 months so I can quit working in the Hell Hole that is my shity shity job. (did i mention shity)

I'll figure it out. I have to.

Failure is not an option.

Did you know that authority sites are easy sites to build because you are focusing on helping a specific type of person. Focusing on helping one specific type of person makes it ten times easier to build the site.

Start creating man,you'll get idea automatically.
There are many guides available on Google.

Built an authority site. And don't forgot to check your site backlinks + contents. If you come to know, any contents are not related to your niche, remove it.

Content is the King. Add Quality relevant Unique Articles and promote it
