Building an Authority Site!

Hi guys, I'm looking to build an authority site regarding a specific health niche targeting local areas.

Things I would like to know is that how to go on about it, as in should I focus on creating very good quality content related to the niche and then put up the local health niches in specific areas targeting that keyword?

I have found many low competition keywords such as around 100-1000 searches with the area extension that are very low competition and have high CPC, but my plans to monetize it is not through adsense but another way. As in contact those people in the health niche in those local areas who offer the services and offer them an adspace for a monthly fee.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Guess you should be looking to buy a good expiring domain with a good history etc. That way your getting off to a good start. Im actually looking to do the same and thats the route im going down. I originally thought about building a pbn but looking at the competition, i think its just overkill

Whether you want to monetize your site via adsense or in any other way, its good to have low comp high cpc keywords as they will help you rank naturally and bring in organic traffic. This is especially true for an authority site with many articles. You will never know what page or what keyword will bring you a visitor. And once he visits your page and your website is good he will get hooked
