Hey guys
I am thinking about building a small clickbank niche affiliate site as a side project. I will be writing around 10 articles targeting keywords that have 50-300 US searches per month, with the main keyword as the front page. I will be selling one product only.

For this purpose, is it ok to register a new domain? Or is it better to find an old domain? I heard something about google sandbox which is like a "probation" period for a site for 3-6 months. I want to be able to rank as quick as possible, not wait around 6 months to get out of sandbox.

If I need an older domain, where do I get one that is $100 or less?

Sorry I am a bit of a noob when it comes to SEO :)

Thanks!

Not sure if this thread is in the right forum, so mods please move it as appropriate.

depends on your ranking strategy. But in generell older domains are easier to rank than newer ones.

The "sandboxing" is imo not happening (or only happening when there is huge competition and you blast a lot of links)
