Building a site

Hi Blackhatters

I am an utter newbie here with zero experience of internet marketing, building a website, clickbank or anything like that however Ive been reading this forum for a while which has inspired me to delve into my first internet marketing project which will revolve around a website that contains local sports information and activities within various areas in my City and I'll attempt to direct traffic to the site from facebook. So far I just have a domain name and Hosting from hostgator

My questions are as follows:

What would be the best ads/affiliate method to utilise for this project? Clickbank? Adsense?

How do I go about building this website, I mean do I use wordpress or something more simple? I have scarcely any experience in anything like this and could really do with some assistance.

Learning wordpress to build the site won't take you so long but you should get familiar with it, it's a fast way to build website.
Concerning ads, Adsense would be a good start since your have no experience in it, and if your site get some kind of authority in your city, then try and contact local businesses for advertisement.

Adsense is gonna be your best bet for a source of income. You could also do sponsored posts (once you have some authority).
Maybe also create a section where people can buy Sports equipment at discounted prices(your Amazon Affiliate links).

Contrary to what others are telling you, I've never used adsense and I heard it's really really shitty in terms of payment, as in you need tons of views to see reasonable earnings. Chances are, because you're new, you probably won't reach these levels in hits, especially if you're simply using Facebook as a traffic source. In general though if you're new your first project will most likely fail, don't be discouraged though because you're still getting experience, that being said pick something and go all out. When I first started I did amazon affiliates, you can make an affiliate site on sports shit by reviewing sports items and putting your link in there, or you can promote some clickbank offers. Or you could do the adsense route of posting a bunch of shit and throwing traffic at it (you'll need tons of traffic before seeing any earnings which is why I kind of don't recommend adsense). But yeah, go all out
