So in the past few months I have been ramping up the diversity of my web development skills. So much so I have made a portfolio website but the unfortunate truth of the matter is I lack currently hosted websites that I have made primarily on my own.

So in the next few months I will:
Create 5 websites for my portfolio. Each will utilize a different tech stack to accomplish the goal of what the site should be.
1 Webflow site
1 GhostCMS site
1 Netlify Site
1 Pure HTML/CSS site
1 Strapi Site

To do this I will first get certified as a webflow developer.
Learn to make Ghost CMS, netlify, and Strapi templates.

Any recommendations or requests to be the subject of my sites will be considered. If interested in a site built with any of these technologies please do throw me a PM and we can discuss a JV, no guarantees though.

The end game here is to get Jr.VIP and open a marketplace thread offering website building services using the above options. I have been very vocal about hating wordpress so please dont suggest that.

There can be great demand of this service on bhw for this service. Good luck.

Amazing idea to do one of each! Maybe I'll do the same just for the fun of it.

Great idea. These have enough demand in the marketplace. Good Luck

Alright. So webflow's university site will not load on the internet I have avialable on my travels so I will for now start on the pure HTML/CSS site which I will use JAMstack fundamentals for, which shouldnt be too hard that is my bread and butter at this point. I intend to make an interactive cooking site where you can adjust the serving size of your recipe and it will automatically calculate the amount of ingredients needed.

I built a site with React and am currently deploying it to a OC droplet. It will be linked on my portfolio website.

Very interesting journey thread.

It's interesting to read about the other options people less privy to design/dev may have as opposed to Wordpress. If you have time/don't mind, would you mind explaining some of the advantages these options have over Wordpress?

Also, I'm going to welcome you to the Jr. VIP club now as you'll most likely achieve your goal & acquire Jr. VIP. :)

Good luck on your journey & safe travels!

Since the last update i expanded my react website into a custom built Ecom platform using nextjs, graphQL, and KeystoneJS for the backend. Users can register and buy products, complete with payments processing and an admin setup to make new product pages and blog posts.

I am now certified as a webflow developer. I have started posting starter sites on flippa and passing off cheap webflow sites built with my developer affiliate info.
