Just wondering if anyone can point in the direction of any threads about setting up a link / blog network. I am really looking for advice about where to get hold of old domains and what to do to stay under the Google Radar.

The one tip I would give is don't have a closed network of every site linking to every other site

Yeah, don't close the network. Google can pick that up in a matter of hours.

None of the sites will link to other sites in the network but they will link back to a select few sites which we choose to build links to, we will also vary the sites that are linked out to.

We are pretty confident about how to set it up, our main question is getting hold of domains, does anyone have any tips for getting hold of old sites?
