Hello,

Just a quick question.. I'm planning on building a little link network just for personal use but I've got literally no experience in doing so. Obviously my main aim is to hide the fact that the sites are connected from Google so at present I've setup a separate account for my domains and added WHOIS privacy to them all.

Now I'm wondering about hosting, I'm planning on using Godaddy because it's cheap but should I create a separate hosting account for each site or doesn't it matter? I know if I was getting a dedicated server then it would matter because these would be the only sites on there, but since Godaddy have like a gazillion other sites hosted would it be okay just to host them under 1 account?

Thanks.

I host about 2-3 sites (rarely 4) on the same account. for ~$50 monthly you can have about 15 hosting accounts. every year at black friday i buy 5-6 new accounts..

I would spread them on a couple of hosting companies. 2-3 hosting companies would be just fine if you have 10-15 sites.

I would go for unique Ip for each domain or at least unique c class address.
For cheap web hosting i would look here or search bing for dollar hosting.
Then i would look for some simple lightweight cms that i could edit without to much hassle, you may also like to read about whois privacy, myself i believe google can see who owns what domain.

no!!! dont buy different godaddy accounts. get different accounts from different hosting companies. There are many companies offering hosting for $2 a month and if you buy annually you may get a discount on top of that.

Separate hosting is good, only if you got more number of domains. But separate hosting account for each domain is unnecessary!

Okay thank you very much! I'll just spread them across various hosts :)
