Building a large Facebook community page

I am doing some cause related marketing and as a method to drive traffic to my site I intend to build a large Facebook community page in which I post news articles relating to the topic. Once the page is large enough I will post links to the news articles that are WP-Robotted onto my blog.

How can I build up the community page quickly and get followers. I have been mass friending people under a cause related facebook account. People have been accepting the friend requests but I am not getting any comments or likes on the news articles posted on the community page. I've got the automated "You are sending too many friend requests" warning and do not want my account banned as I will have to start all over.

A similar community page is getting tons of comments on their news articles. This is a very controversial topic so it invites discussion.

It's really hard to build a big Facebook fan-page nowadays without a really creative idea.

You have two options my friend:

1)To try and make a viral campaign (something that interests people), then to put a clickjack there somehow, to force ppl to join your fan-page.

2)To purchase status updates from bigger fan-pages (won't work unless your page is really interesting)
