Building a Customer List From Facebook Groups, Pages, Etc.

Like many people, I stumbled across BHW in search of a way to build a customer list after scraping Facebook and attempting to reach them using direct email marketing or custom audiences on the FB ad platform.

What I've learned is that because of changes by Marky Z this isn't as easy as it used to be. New to me were rules like you need a non-facebook email to create a custom audience on FB and facebook email's won't allow mass emails to reach the personal email address of the intended person.

So. Where I'm at....
I've scrapped together my list of about 20,000 Facebook emails/UIDs....
I know that by using the freely available APIs out there I can input a FB UserName and build a Customer List with FirstName, LastName, Geography, Social Media Profiles etc... but that will only return about 35% of my population and doesn't really help reach them, unless I automate the process of socially networking with them and contacting them directly.

I'm aware of the XPath Method to scrap social network profiles, but don't know of a software that can help me automate the process for 20,000 users; moreover, I'm not sure what % of FB user make their real emails private, or how practical this method is to execute on FB.

I know that I can take a_anderson.001; drop the .001; then, test if the address exists at gmail, yahoo, comcast, etc... but even if the email test returns successful there's no certainty this is the a_anderson i'm looking for.

So after days of reading and coming up tired and frustrated, I'm posting this thread. If this has been covered extensively in the past, I apologize, and if you could send me to the relevant thread I would appreciate it.

you have a list of leads. what you want is a list of customers that buy from you.

Yes.... ideally, but what I'm s.e.l.l.i.n.g isn't an online product. Further, this isn't a repeat business.

My goal is to reach them, end up on a a site and opt-in for a newsletter or to be contacted via phone.

To sort it out and check who is interested in your niche is to run facebook ad campaign for 20k users. Run for atleast 5-10 days.You will know how many people are interested. Try first with giving freebies and to get that they will get that freebie. Now you will be having atleast 100-400 contacts which is interested in ur niche. Repeat it as many time as possible!

when you gonna start to make money then you can invest more and keep collecting uid!

It's my understanding that custom audiences cannot be created on Facebook with UID#s or atfacebook emails......?
