A bit of tips....
Don't give too much thought on the word count of your article. Write naturally and if it exceeds 500 words great if not it's still fine. The only thing I always lookout for is for my article to pass 250 words. I have ranked sites with a 250 words article on the top 4 spots on Google first page. So don't give too much thought about writing a 500 - 1000 words article. But if you can write them good if not it's still ok. BTW you can write and publish +1000 words article and still not rank for your chosen keyword(s).
Keyword Density
I don't know about others but for me, I usually watch out for this factor when writing article to make sure that I don't over optimized the article with my ideal keyword thus making the keyword you are trying to rank for become too obvious. I personally find sticking with 0.2% keyword density to work well for me.
Interlinking
Make sure to interlink your every new post with an old one. Believe you me, these inter links work wonders overtime. I have seen one of my keyword that I had done no SEO Ranked #10. On further analysis, I found 37 links pointing to the page in which I had never built a single link to (of course those 37 links turned out to be links from other pages on the same site).
Buying SEO Service
Trade carefully here! If you must buy SEO service, leave clear instructions for the seller to build little or no links at all with your main keyword. I have had a site that I bought SEO for dropped from #15 (almost hitting 1[SUP]st[/SUP] page) to #55 because I forgot to instruct the seller not to use my primary keyword in building links.
This isn't the first time I see someone on this forum saying that www. in a domain makes a site more authoritative. I have to say it doesn't have anything related to authority. It doesn't impact the SEO, it doesn't have impact in the eyes of visitors. At the end it comes to the personal preferances, simply do you like your domain to have www.or not.For authority I go with www.

I prefer to use the domains without the www, because:
First, it's not the year 1992, we all know we are accessing World Wide Web when typing the web address.
Second, it's cleaner, clustered, easier to recognize the site.
At the end it's really just the personal preferense, but the point is - nothing to do with authority, I swear![]()
I remember when Matt Mullenweg, founder of WordPress, was using his site with the www. but he changed it and now it's without the www. Would this make his site less authoritative? I don't think so. What makes the site authority is the content, site structure and other paramaters which will influense search engines or visitors to stay more on the site.
BTW I'm doing the keyword research right now.
If any interested I will do a keyword research for the next 3 users that are interested.
I will find 3 keyword which have lest 1K+ US monthly searches per keyword that are very easy or easy to rank.
So yeah if anyone interested post here, I'll try my best![]()
