Build powerful relevant backlinks easily with forums and RSS

Hi guys, new to the forums but not new e-commerce and IM. I've found this board much more informative that WF or DP so I will give back by bringing you this thread. As many of you know building backlinks from unrelated content is next to useless nowadays. A good way to build relevant back links is through the use of internet forums. Follow the steps below and you will easily build many relevant do follow back links throughout the web.

1. Research at least 30 forums that could in any way relate to your niche, sighn up and record your passwords and user names in an excel sheet.
2. Sighn up for a google account if you don't already have one and set up an Igoogle page to manage all of the new RSS feeds you will be generating.
3. Navigate to Google Alerts and enter the following without quotes
"Example keyword site:URLofForum"

So for example if your niche was cleaning paintball guns and one of the forums you sighned up to was examplesite you would enter the following without quotes
"how to clean site:examplesite"

4. Change "Type" to Discussions
5. Change "How Often" to as-it-happens
6. Keep "Volume" on only the best (havnt experimented with this much yet)
7. Change the deliver to "feed"
8. Repeat for questions that people would normally ask about your niche

going along with my example I would probably set up a feed for something like this for 1 of my 30 forums.

"cleaning site:examplesite"
"How to clean site:examplesite"
"cleaning material site:examplesite"

8. Now do the exact same thing for the rest of the forums you sighed up to.
8. Add google reader to your Igoogle page
9. Add a link back to your website in your signature of each forum
10. Soon your Google reader window will start to be filled up with people asking questions about your niche, now it is your job to go on these forums and answer their questions, don't spam, contribute a real answer, the link in your signature will do the rest.
11. That's it, you can now build extremely relevant back links to your site MUCH easier that e-mailing webmasters (although you should still do this) and you wont have to search each individual fourm for questions to answer. Another benefit is that generally google alerts will only work for forums that are popular and indexed often, meaning the thread created on the forum itself has a good chance of being ranked by Google, providing even more eyes to your non spamming post and more clickthroughs to your site.

have to disagree with you for statement above. I have my sites ranked #3 by having backlinks only from very unrelated content. it still has value.

by the way, thanks for the share. I love forum backlinks too. beside for SEO purpose, we also get some quality traffic if we build our authorities well

No offense to the OP because I'm sure this method works. The problem is it's time consuming and not as effective as it used to be. Like somebody already mentioned 60% of forums don't allow sigs with links anymore. This is another method that gets shared after the glory days are over.

My guess is You'll see alot of Facebook shares coming soon because it's getting much tougher.This forum is best for gathering info and formulating ideas.....most good working methods will probably be in Vip. My 2 cents

interesting, maybe its just my niche but most of my forums allow links in the sig. I guess this would be more beneficial in the white hat area, for those looking to build credibility with their company.

anyway it could be outsourced, just give your G reader account logins to someone on fiverr and let him comment for you on the forums

Well you are using a forum site right now. A directory site is something like DMOZ*com and a social bookmarking site is something like Digg. A short answer to your question to build traffic is using backlinks, but there are many ways, start searching the forums for SEO advice.

This is what I have been doing lately. I don't understand what you mean by using igoogle to navigate RSS feeds???

Also what do you use google alerts for? I'm confused.

Using Igoogle to stream the RSS feeds for each of the fourms will make it much easier for you to only answer questions on the fourms that relate to your niche. You don't have to use Igoogle as your RSS reader, I just like it because I can get all of the fourm topics streamed right there on my homepage. The first thing I do when I log onto the web is answer the unread questions I see on my homepage, takes me about 10 min and I think it's totally worth it. Your not only building back links but people will visit your site just from the post. If you need some more specific instructions send me a PM i'll try to help you out.

this is another great method to get more backlink from google , i have read another good post that mentioned to use blog comment shown in googlel alert to get backlinks. it seems this method is much easier , as there are alot viewers in forums, rite
