De-indexed but still in cache.

Old posts tend to get de-indexed but it doesn't mean it's loss it's effectiveness and you'll be penalized.

Not sure about using just BMR as your linkbuilding sources though.

I've experienced a nice initial boost to new sites by using only BMR but you definitely need more diverse links to maintain the upward momentum.

That's to bad, i know a lot of people really dedicated to them. Oh well, there will be someone out there building a website right now to take their place.

I disagree. G has made it very clear they are not okay with these types of networks. Isn't it strange BMR closes registration right after the recent network crack down? Its very clear that G is targeting these networks and punishing those who use them. I have a site that was penalized in which I used a variety of these types of services. I lost 70% of traffic overnight.

My site didn't drop -100 that a lot of other people are reporting so I figure I will continue link building. 30 days later I am still stagnant and haven't moved up for any keywords. I pushed a pretty insane amount of high quality backlinks in hopes to get back to #1 for my KWs, hasn't happened.

I have also heard others report the same thing, that are unable to move after getting a portion of their link profile is deindexed. Im not saying I know for certain there is a penalty related to using these networks, but it certainly appears that way.

There is a penalty that google can give to a site, but the good news is that after the penalty time out is over, you can regain your ranks. For example, lets take Overstock.com and when they were penalized, they lost all their rankings over night and then 45 days later when the penalty was lifted, they came back just as strong.

And when the penalty was lifted, Overstock.com sent out a press release stating so. Pretty smart of Overstock to send out that press release, I sure they got some serious link juice from that pr submission...

Another good example is JC Penny. Google these company names and "google penalty" and you can read about them...

But, this is where the problem comes in, these companies where given manual penalties. Manual penalties are different from algorithm penalties. Algorithim penalties can be harder to come back from if you don't fix what caused the algo penalty to occur.

Manual penalties vs Algorithm penalties and how you recover from either is a topic that is not easy to find more about.

I tend to doubt it was BMR that did it, but who knows. All of my sites have done really well over the past 3 months, and none had as high authority as your website.

It was either highPRsociety or BMR that caused it... no other possibilities.

A friend of mine said that according to ahrefs, he lost a lot of backlinks. His main strategy is using BMR.

What are the alternatives that you can suggest to BMR? I was a satisfied BMR user but this is causing me sleepless nights.

Does anyone know how many words per article and how many backlinks you get per article on LinkVana?

I've seen Linkvana gigs on an outsourcing sites asking for a minimum of 100 words per (unique) article. No spun content. They allow unlimited submissions.
