Build Backlinks to Amazon product page

I have a physical product that I sell on Amazon. I am not the only seller of the product but I am the manufacture of it so when it sells I always make money.

My question is, can I send back links to the main amazon selling page? Will I get any benefits out of it? Amazon has optimized it for a few good keywords that would defiantly help with sales if it was raked higher.

Has anyone tried this? I would think Amazon would love this, even low quality back links.

If you spam authority sites with shitty links it tends to back fire and rank the page higher. You might want to try that. Otherwise you can go the white hat route and build high PR links to the page and it should move up.
 
That's for the info, sometimes bad links make good things happen.
 
Great question! I have a friend who is selling a book (he's the author) on Amazon and was just thinking about this today, I mean, it should be easier to rank an Amazon page with my normal backlink strategy than a brand new site.
 
Does any one know how to rank high on amazon product page ?

what kind of link strategy should be used.?

Bumping this thread to see if anyone has an update on how to rank well for your own product on Amazon.
 
Ive done it for one of my product listings where I have the buy box about 98% of the time got it to rank faster than my site.

I used 5 massive link builders on fiver. Just picked what ever had the most links for five dollars and it worked in about two weeks it made it to number 1
 
So if AMAZON will be spanked by any Google update we will know why :D
 
Just to clarify, are you ranking your product within Amazon's internal search, or are you sending backlinks to rank the product listing in Google?

That's exactly what I was also going to ask. I think that the OP refers to the latter option but it would be interesting to read something about Amazon's internal search listings as well.
 
with a site the size of amazon all you will do by spamming them is higher there ranking if anything.
 
Now the only way to rank on Amazon is Google. Talk with me if you need a plan.
