Okay, so I only just heard that you can build backlinks to your youtube video and get it ranked much better.

Is this true?
My question is, how and what type of backlinks?
Will backlinks really affect a YT video?

Thank you!

That's the beauty of youtube and building backlinks to you videos. The quality of the links doesn't effect it like it would if you sent a bunch of crappy links to your site on a search engine. You can rank them better with bookmarks, blog commenting, etc.

There are two ways of getting back links from Youtube. 1. You put your URL in the Youtube Channel and 2. You put your UrL/link under the Videos. These two I can suggest you friend.

You're telling me that blog comments and bookmarks can be done to YT videos just like building links to a site?

How effective are these?

They rank the same way of ranking any webpage but since they are owned by G they are easily rankable, also the views you can purchase can boost them too.

What if we spam the YT video to death by sending direct SB blasts to it?
Surely the video wouldn't get "sandboxed" on Google, would it? (and LOL if it would)

The best way to rank up YouTube videos is with views, likes, comments, and favorites. (As far as I know) back linking YouTube videos would help them to show up on search engines, and they would appear higher on Google, but I don't think that YouTube itself checks for backlinks.

Thanks for all the advice. I'll test out some Xrumer and SB blasts to an experiment video, let's see if there are any effects.

Its Just like any other xrumer blasts. Simply enter your youtube video url instead of your site's url. Thats it. I don't see why you're getting confused?

I don't have senuke or xrummer so I just buy a few gigs off of fiverr, like this gig here.
To be clear, throwing backlinks at a video is to get it to rank higher in the serps not rank in Yt which requires view and such.

you could give your channel links to give it moer authority and this helps all your videos in the rankings. also commenting in other channels leaves your username which is a link to your channel.

It will definately help for Google searches but let's be honest, if people want to see a video result to their search, they start in Youtube's search, not Google's search. And once you're inside Youtube, then I agree with what everyone is saying, it's the Youtube specific metrics likes views, comments, favorites, likes that make the difference. But if you want to give it a try anyways, I paid $5 on Fiverr for Dinostark's backlink pyramid gig and it definately got me up in the top 5 of Google's first page when I typed in my two keywords to describe my video.

Are people missing the point here. Even if people aren't looking for a video if you get your video to rank on a google search people will click on it to see what its about hence getting you more views and more like hence getting you to rank higher on youtube. Seems like pretty easy way to rank for competitive key words when you can't suffer the google slap
