    Hi everybody!

I've been playing with the idea of building a business in the graphic design niche. I just wondered if there are anybody here that have experience in having a business and outsource the products you sell on Fiverr and other cheap websites?

I mean like, you put up a website, getting customers by e-mailing maybe local and small business:es and offer them logos, banners, business card designs and other thing you find on Fiverr.

    Is this hard to do?

*I was actually inspired by the thread about offering mobile sites you buy on Fiverr to small business:es, so thanks to the op of that thread :)

    Thanks in advance,

    Rob.

if you don't try it, you'll never find out. it's worth a shot just having a go rather then sitting on the fence about it.

Honestly, fiverr shouldn't be something that you base the foundation of your business on. Find a cheap worker on BHW/Elance or one of the freelancer sites.

    Thanks for your reply :)

Yeah, I guess you're right. Do you (or anybody else) know if the graphic designs you buy on Fiverr is any quality, or are most of them only shit? Also, please give some tips of gigs that you really like in this niche. Thanks in advance!

DON'T USE FIVERR FOR GRAPHIC DESIGN JOBS!

    They are either:
    1) low quality
    2) stolen designs
    3) edited templates

You need to do it yourself or hire someone who can, average hr for quality "offshore" is $10+hr, USA $30+hr.

    Good luck!

You can use fiverr as to test candidates you can employ and if they perform good work that you like, you can hire them full time outside of fiverr

Agreed , Fiverr is sometimes unreliable. I'd rather pay someone more to get the job done more efficiently but most important get the job DONE PROPERLY!

Okay, but isn't Fiverr a place where Freelancers are gathered? :)

Thanks for all your answers. Well the thing is, for example, there are logo designers with several thousands of good reviews. They can't be bad? Or do people just have low expectations when they buy something for $5?

EDIT: It's late here in Finland, will continue this thread tomorrow. :)

Have anyone of you any experience with freelancer? When I'm advertising for a work I want to be done, does it cost anything for me or is it free listing? Also, could I just contact a reputable member there and start talk to him? Thanks

If there is a way to send a message to someone through Freelancer, I have not found it yet.

If you post a job, you can send invitations to bid to freelancers that look good. Maybe someone else knows more about how to PM through their system?

+1 to this. I would never use Fiverr for graphic design. The idea of contacting a provider outside freelancer.com seems the most reliable and low cost in my opinion.

You can find quality and reliably at oDesk. Fiverr is becoming more and more commercial for more than $5.

If the fiverr seller could make quality logo, designer or what so ever, he would not sell it for 5 $, but for 50$, so basically you can try it, but the clients will not be satisfied, especially because you will have to "translate" their needs to some Indian "designer" who barely can speak English.
