No there shouldn't be. While I do feel for your loss, this is the very reason that BTC and other crypto exist - so people have control over their own money.
However, as we've all learned from watching Spiderman...
With great power, comes a million and a half ways to fuck it up.
We have to be responsible for our own wallets. It's the quid pro quo, and many of us are happy with that.
You just have to be extra careful when dealing with crypto, while things are still so new.
Please believe there are a ton of scams involving fiat, as well.
