Things have changed, though I would agree that for 99% of people, it takes too long to realize and accept changes.
For example, upto around a year ago, if anyone criticised Elon Musk, then that person would be hounded and pounded by mobs shouting and crying "Don't you know Elon Musk is the one who has saved the world ?", "Don't you know it is only because of Elon Musk, that we are alive ?", etc, etc, etc.
With Bitcoin (crypto) also, upto around a year ago, if one is bearish about the price of Bitcoin, then that person would be hounded and pounded by mobs shouting and crying. But, now, more people are aware about the high volatility and about the frequent Bitcoin price manipulation done by whales and there are more people now than before who have burnt their fingers, so it is now normal to say that one is bearish about the price of Bitcoin.
However, yes, I do agree, that for 99% of people (in the world), it takes way too much longer to realize what happens with various things. So, nowadays, the hate is much lesser, for saying that one is bearish about the price of Bitcoin.
But, again most people are bullish, so they keep getting their finger burnt especially leverage trading and they would be kind of hateful (or so) towards the sentiments of someone who is bearish about the price of Bitcoin, so we cannot really know the reactions towards anyone who mentions he or she is bearish about the price of Bitcoin. I think it is fine and normal to be bullish or bearish
After all, the whales are the ones manipulating Bitcoin price and the whales work hand-in-glove with the big exchanges (Binance, etc) in order to create fakeouts and then either pump up or dump down, so that leveraged trades get liquidated, as when leveraged trades get liquidated, the exchanges (Binance, etc) make awesome profits and the big exchanges (Binance, etc) and the whales share all that, on an ongoing basis.
The whales and the exchanges are pretty happy with BOTH sides : those who are bullish AND those who are bearish.
