BTC $255 Getting Its Assed Kicked!

Are all these small businesses accepting bitcoins as payment option keeping them or cashing out/seeling them right after clients purchase?

Only the young people that are paranoid, nerds or into illicit activity are into bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies. The vast majority of young people don't give a f*ck and would rather use something that is easy such as cash or debit/credit cards.

This is a very ignorant thought. Just off the top of my head, many small business owners would prefer to be paid in bitcoin including ME. You know why? So that payment gateways don't steal percentages of my hard earned money. And once it stabilizes, there will only be more reason to except bitcoin instead of fiat. Any you don't think immigrants who have to pay percentages to western union type companies wouldn't rather just use bitcoin and pay virtually 0 fees when sending money back to their homeland? Come on now..

I think that Cryptocurrencies are fun to play around with. Last week I decided to use my little server to mine some Pandacoins. My server was made for small tasks and only achieved ~37kh/s but I thought it was fun.

In the end I made ~506.07 PND

I lost money in the electricity costs but hey, I feel like I accomplished something.

Never heard of PandaCoin will have to check it out

Apple is going to change currency with their mobile applepay platform. Maybe they will buy BTC and use it within applepay and revive BTC!

I still have lots of hope in BTC. Price drop doesn't bother me. I think it was meant to happen actually.

Hard to say it was meant to happen. Price drops are artificially created for a cheap buy in that trends upward. Still we can't say it was meant to happen because we don't know.

what can media do they pump it so much previous year everyone was rush to buy that and dogecoin crap lol and now it losing its value, those exchangers get hacked each few months people see its not trustable. btc or any can never replace gold. if some day countries want to make something to not use paper money they will but not some bitcoin. just earn usd on paypal you will be happy :)

Its finally getting stable, as here said ^ it was mostly hype but now companies actually accept it and the price is finding it level

I've seen bitcoin at $217 and ive seen it at $320. That's just the way it is so spend them while you got them.

Never will see bit going mainstream. From now on you will see lower prices unless it completely crashed. If someone sells out it could drop so much more.

I'm just sad I passed on buying 1000$ worth when they were $1....

My prognosis is unchanged---the way to consider buying BTC is to think in terms of YEARS, not weeks or months. BTC is stable LONG term, not short term. "Considering how its value jumped between 2010 and 2014, what will the Bitcoin I got in 2014 and am holding be worth in 2018?" is the right perspective to have if you are investing. That means the current valley in its value is an opportunity, where long termers can get in and take full advantage of the short-term flippers getting their comeuppance.

In the meantime, the main importance of cryptocurrency is as a stable utility, not investment, that is independent of the banking and governmental currency systems. This is a tremendous boon to people running a (especially, digital) business to operate from an exchange basis that does not have to be subject to arbitrary seizure, freezes, or other institutional chokeholds.

The more purely market-based value of Bitcoin is ultimately a much more solid foundation for stability than traditional, artificially supported stability of government currency, once a wide economic catastrophe happens. People are likely to find out what that means the hard way, if the predictions many leading economists have made about a global currency collapse within the next year come true.

When Google builds there global free internet using low orbit balloons and barges etc this will bring in many new users from across the globe that never had access to banking due to the country or geographical locations. By then Crypto will be bigger and the only way to transact without access to banks.... Just my 2 cents.

If they don't have access to banks how will they cash out their bitcoins? :P
