bst rules

i posted about this way back last year asked a supermod and a mod, even they didnt no
so now i ask the forum, it says to have a bst market place thread you must be a VIP

now way back last year i went through every category in the market place found over
30 sellers still trading as regular members, even so today,

yet here it still says by DD

if vip is required to open the sales thread, shouldnt it still be required to keep it, after all once your one
year vip expires, your making money of bhw and bhw in return gets nothing
so whats the deal, yes to open a thread and if it expires doesnt matter - or yes all the time to keep it.
lotta users out with expired still running threads pocketing sales while bhw gets nothing

infact last year i was told when my vip expired while i was away i better sought it quick
when i got back or my sales thread could be removed, yet im guessing the accounts i handed
in last year still running with no vip and active sales threads.

You have to be Jr. VIP to open a new thread and the thread can be ran, even if the membership expires. This means that no thread edits/changes can be made though, til' Jr. VIP is re-purchased.
These are the current rules, although we are considering other approaches for this.

got it message received, i just sat pondering thinking , hold on i was told last year dont leave
the renewal to long could loose my sales thread..hmmm

but if u think about it apricot , 97$ for a year to let is expire and carry on selling still means say
if a sales thread runs 2-3-4 years, sure they loose edits/sig/ but they rake in $ on 1 vip fee
while in theory bhw after the 1 vip payment get nothing....

we are considering other approaches for this.

simple on, wanna keep your sales thread year on year pay your subs year on year
only if they make bank so should bhw

As per my opinion, this is not something unfair. Obviously, it is my opinion and might not match other people's opinion. The reason is the fact that the user had to pay a listing fee and give out free review copies in order to get his bst approved. Now consider the situation where someone mistakenly gets a sales thread approved 1 day before his vip subscription expires. He will simply lose the thread in one day, which is unfair.

One solution to this I think, is to make the insertion fee applicable per year instead of a one time fee. That would be justified IMHO.

seems easy enough,
rule 1 must be a vip to have a sales thread
doesnt seam unreasonable to have to renew it every year
while your bst is live, bhw make money, seller makes money
