Browser fingerprinting: Vanilla vs Anti-detect. Which one are you?

There seems to be 2 schools of thoughts when it comes to evading browser fingerprinting tools:
1. A vanilla setup (Chrome/Firefox with a completely fresh profile, no extensions, no cookies, etc.). The advantage is that it's easier to blend in with white hat users. The downside is that it requires more manual work to reset your browser before logging in with another Reddit account.
2. A specialized anti-detect browser. The advantage is that the browser does most of the work for you. The disadvantage is that (relatively) few people use these browsers, and they are disproportionately black-hats. Some black-hats even believe that the newest detection tools specifically look out for anti-detect browsers.

What school of thought do you belong to? Curious to hear your personal experiences

i don't see the point of anti-detect browsers. you can run undetected without a special browser, or write a bot with specialized browser settings. that being said, you do need to understand how everything works, so i guess the anti-detect browsers are good for noobs.

Agreed - I definitely fall into the first camp. But I admit I've been tempted with the idea of doing even less work (I'm merely a mortal man, after all).

Do you think the theory that spam filters/detection tools flag anti-detect browsers holds any water? Or is it just a baseless conspiracy?

if anyone is detecting anything they probably don't want to share that information, so we would never know.

what is the goal here? to create a unique footprint for that user. so.....do that. i dunno what you need a special browser for, you can just write a nodejs script with a certain configuration and only use that configuration for a specific user.

I'd go with anti-detection browsers, and I've used MoreLogin for a long time. First of all, the anti-detection browser can completely prevent fingerprinting. The residential proxy he provided to me is very stable and stable. My account has not been banned, and I also tested my browser fingerprint with the website, and the original one did not appear.
Secondly, as you said, using A vanilla setup is very cumbersome. Every time I use the anti-detection browser to log in to my social media account, I can log in directly and use it without resetting.

In my opinion, an anti-detect browser might be the better option for you, considering the numerous benefits it offers. It's designed specifically to tackle fingerprinting and tracking, providing a higher level of protection for those who value their online privacy.

Personally I have had no luck otherwise .

I use portable browser as well as Antidetect browser, sometimes portable browser isn’t enough that I have to test out the workflow on Antidetect browser just to figure out if it yields out different results, and that’s how I usually test out.

Sometimes I just go with mobile browsers.

Honestly, Antidetect browsers just got more and more expensive and for what I don’t know the reason

I think Antidetect is slightly more advanced, portable browser can only add noise to the fingerprinting

Now many anti-detection browsers provide free trial versions, you can try the free version of morelogin, which provides 2 free environments. You sign up for a new Reddit account with the free environment and watch for a while to see if it gets banned, but in theory it won't. Then you can choose the anti-detection browser that suits you according to your own needs.

Seems to work fine and less resource intensive than running headed anti detect browsers.

Reddit got a new anti bot from yesterday so I was moaning about looks like hell be honest..
