on the phone:What do you think of the "broken record" technique of sales? It consists of not really rebutting but just keep going with the script no matter what, and if the prospect or gatekeeper objects, it is merely to say something like "Absolutly I am getting to this" and then go on with the script a repeat a prior section.
-Our company deals with blah blah blah
-I'm too busy can you make this quick
-I'm getting to this.As I was saying... Our company deals with blah blah blah
-As I said, please make this quick.
-As a matter of fact, I'm getting to this. As I mentionned, my company does blah blah blah
Seems like a good way to get hung up on and/or yelled at.
I know if someone called my business doing this sort of strategy would get this same treatment. :X
"FUCK YOU!" and tossing the phone out of the window would be my answer.
I used to have a job where I was the gatekeeper,, we took on average 70-80 cold calls a day, and they provided us with endless hours of entertainment. I can say this, the ones that called and seemed to be pissed off and very direct usually got thru.
I usually politely hang up on them. Even though I feel yelling an abuse at them.
