    Hi all,

I was hoping someone can give a few suggestions to some of my questions.

Long story short-I am breaking into doing services for offline companies.

Services I will definitely be offering are:

article writing- 2-3 articles per month for each company &
    market research

The above would be $200 per month on a retainer fee.

Now I am trying to put together a packaged service to give more value to the company and therefore receive a higher fee.

    Some things I am considering:

    Press release for the company-

    Social Bookmarking of website -

    Social bookmarking of articles-

    Directory submission of their website-

    Rss submission of their website-

Setting up a facebook page for their business-

    _______________________________________________

Now I am following a guide, to provide the articles and market research and the guide tells me to charge $200 for the articles & market research.

    My questions are:

How often to do the submissions for the above services? And what would be a good price to charge?

I don't want to sell myself short and don't want to over charge and never get any business.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks In Advance

I find that most companies don't really care to purchase those services... they want to purchase a service that works toward giving them 1st page on google results.

I have found it a very tough sell to get someone to purchase "article writing" or "press release submission". Its not a very concrete concept in their mind. But, they do understand the "You need to be on the first page of google" concept... and That package can include: articles, press releases, bookmarking, etc.

No one cares that you will "bookmark" their site... I've found they only care about the result.

Don't mean to be blunt, just been doing this for a bit and this is what I've run into...

I would make the package sound a bit more glamorous than article marketing.:D

    I was thinking more like=

Market research, online publishing and media distribution.

With a few extras thrown in to provide more value and therefore a price increase.

I totally get that most businesses are results driven. :)

I agree with MagicMike. I think most businesses wouldn't care about services such as these, unless you make them sound really good, and promise some results.

The easiest to sell to them is the top10 ranking. Just tell them the stat that 99% of the visitors dont look beyond the 1st page bla bla. Tell them you'll guarantee 1st page for $2k(obv. only if you can get the top10 spot), + a monthly retainer of 250 or so to hold that 1st page spot.

Another service you might want to consider is to help local businesses claim their Local Listing. Each company's Local Listing has to be optimized with photos, reviews, citations, and videos etc. It's time consuming to do all that (that's why they pay you the big bucks :)). And it is something they can see adding value to their company directly.
