Break through Fiverr sh*t

Hey guys! New to the forum but not new to IM. Started out about a year back with rougly $90 to invest, making a steady $1500 at the moment each month so i cant really complain.

One thing that has been bugging me excessively is the fact that Fiverr (for me) is a hard nut to crack. I've had gigs that have done just ok and i've had gigs i've created that not even jesus himself could find in that swamp. Do any of you have any idea how to effectively market a new fiverr gig that will eventually lead to sales?

Have you done some fake feedbacks and fake visitors and likes to your gigs?
 
Dont rely on fiverr's internal search engine for folks to find your gigs, you have to promote your gig outside of fiverr to people who you think will be interested in them.

Have you tried any of fiverr's sister sites? If you have gigs that have done even marginally well on fiverr, just rinse and repeat. You can find tons of these sites. Type this in your favorite search engine: sites similar to fiverr. That's my advice anyhow. If you just want to focus on fiverr, make as many gigs as you possibly can. I think they allow you to run up to 20 at a time. After a month or so, keep the ones that are working, and ditch the ones that aren't for new ones.
 
Yup i've done the fake reviews thing although i cant say i've tried the sister sites. Posting a gig on zeerk right now to see how that will work out :) Thanks for the replies so far!
 
I get around 10+ orders a day. Fake feedback wont help much. You just have to offer whats hot there and sales will come. Maybe you can try in SEO area. Lots of upsells can be done there

The SEO area is indeed what i am focusing on and while people are looking at my gig but no buyers yet. This i can somehow imagine since people are perhaps afraid to be the first to get screwed over by someone with no ratings. Have tweeted out the gig and dugg it as well so gonna give it some time now i guess.
 
Keep promote your gig outside fiverr. :)

Due to the recent fiverr algorithm changes I'm getting more orders than ever. I suggest you keep tweaking your gig from week to week and see if you get any view spikes or any orders. One thing I've noticed is that once you get some orders, the rest will come.
 
Thanks for the input Junkfood00! It's true that once you break the ice on Fiverr the rest usually follows. My biggest problem with that site however is to indeed get my first customer. I offer free over-delivery for buyers, i market my gig and all that but somehow it doesn't take off. It's not that i depend on Fiverr for income (thank god:) ) it's really more the challenge of figuring out the formula for attracting prospects.
 
make a video and good keyword selection then promote your gig outside fiverr

Don't do anything fake on fiverr! Just the site is extremely bugged from about over month. They try to fight spam and to do gigs better for SEO. They have success with this job, but have a lot major bugs like order button is gone. Contact other members and ask them for "save" exchange. "Hi xxxx, I am new on fiverr and if you help me saving my gig, I will never forget and will save your gig/all of your gigs". Look up in the right green widget, where peoples need help and contact every possible person you can help with anything (not just gigs related). I am successful fiverr seller from over 2 years.
 
Its good to have your gigs on fiverr's sister sites and promote them through social media.why not try Outsourcerr(dhot kom) for a start , ive posted my gigs over there.

There is such a easy way around the lack there of orders for most fiverr users. Most of the posts don't follow any Ad copy rules, and are posted by idiots that don't know the psychology of the target audience. It all comes down to psychology, triggers, incorporate key variables and elements in Ad Copy, design service to satisfy and appease the client's mind, not your own damn wallet.

Finally, if you really think that you got it, advertise it outside Fiverr. How hard is it to buy some traffic and press releases, guest posts, etc about how fucking cool your gig is, and how legit you are. Start building authority even with yahoo answers and youtube. Finally, move on to buying likes and followers on facebook and twitter. Use everything in a strategy to fake viral effect and authority. Finally, once you build those you are set. Realy simply, start with mind control marketing and power ad copy ebooks, then work your way up from there.
 
So true....I see awful ad copy there. I did see one woman who has an awesome video on fiverr to promote her gig. SHe is selling like gang busters. Of course, I am going to copy her....that is the name of the game
