Brave Browser? Anyone using it?

See an ad on Facebook and it says it cuts out ad tracking and cookies. Wondering if anyone in here uses it and what are there thoughts? I love fire fox but some times a few good browsers on your pc is a great thing to have. Just wondering if it’s worth the time looking into and trying it out.

I use it along with firefox, but don't use it for the crypto you get:D You get like 5$ per month or something:) It is nice that it does block cookies, but some websites won't let you browse without enabling some things, so you will get quite a few conflicts while browsing..
 
Chromium all the way! I do think it makes sense to turn off ad blockers from time to time in order to see what the big boys are doing.
 
I recently gave Brave a fair chance.
I seem to be getting use to it much easier.
I been using Edge for the past year or two (since Beta), and stilll not 100% comfortable in using it (as in feels like "home")
Prior to that, it has always been a mix of Firefox & Chrome.
Now i'm splitting between Brave and Edge.
While Chrome is still strictly for Work since our IT department refuses to install Edge on my work PC

As mentioned, some websites dont run with trackers/cookies being blocked, but that goes for the same when using ad-blockers addons (if u do use them)
Just turn the off temp for that site on brave, it's no big deal, i got use to it
 
well arent brave and Edge just based on Chromium nowadays ? so it shouldn't make any difference to the website rendering...
 
It's a chromium browser so it's familiar to chrome, You will notice a slight empty sensation when using Brave. Don't be alarmed, that's just the absence of Google dick in your rectal cavity. You'll get used to it :p

to;dr its chrome without google, with a built-in adblocker and script blocker. It even uses all chrome plugins.
(I used it along side chrome)
 
Haven't used Desktop version, but I used the android version for about a month and didn't collect a single "BAT". It seems to me the big earners are using referrals

Havnet tried the andriod ver yet.
But you may need to turn on "Ads"

Otherwise, you won't get ads or bats
 
i like it so far. no problems. some extra bells and whistles i never use (tor browser built in). its based on chromium so you still get the whole extension library. dont care for BAT rewards either. brave is owned/develeoped by the guy who orignally made firefox. i would trust he knows what he's doing. regular firefox & chrome are popular, but come with their own problems.

brave is one of the better alternatives. what's next you have vivaldi...ice cat.. waterfox... ungoogled chromium. up to you to test+research them and come up with what's best for your own needs.
 
By far the most superior browser I've used. The adblocker is unlike any other and the private tor window is very handy. I still use a generic Edge browser to avoid setting off any alarms on any websites I'm using though.
 
Does brave have options or extensions for using multiple proxies on multiple windows? Thanks for all the info guys I’m for sure going to give it a go and test it’s flexibility
 
Been using it for about a year now and i dont know how i ever used anything else. It even shows you the number of blocked scripts, ads, and trackers while you browse and i cant recommend it enough. Give it a try
