Do you guys using your personalname as domain like;
myname.com
firstname.com
or abbreviation of first name
Examples: helen.com or thehelen.com, helendigital.com.......
or do you use a brand name (fantasy name) like;
diggify
brandify...
digivision
yumpy
........
I hope you know what I mean....
I see many brand names who often make no sense, but they sounds modern they have good ranking.
Does it means serch engines g+b like modern sounding brand names today?
My problem is when I use my first name markus, google showing me germany serp results not from US, so it not looks like a good idea.

Exactly. My strategy is pretty basic but it gets the job done and revolves around consistency.
Consistent posting on the site itself, on social media, consistency with engagements.
Follow your competitors on social media, see what they're talking about, and aim to do it better.

What's about your seo? I hope you got multiple serp rankings with your website ? Big news site doing this (haveing big content hub sites linking to their categories) to gain multiple serp rankings (ok they have a lot of backlinks too .....)

I must say that it has been awesome reading those long-drawn comments from some of you, but if you are looking to build topic clusters around a brand- domain, it has better chances of wider success than if you were to do the same with a EMD.
EMD still works, but its usage is best suited for small businesses with a limited reach.
While EMD’s rank better than brand-domains in some niches than others, but it can no longer move the needle in the right direction.

While EMDs may still have some value in certain specific niches, they are generally more suited for small businesses with limited geographical reach or specific local markets.
I agree as EMDs have diminished and they no longer have the same level of impact as they once did due to the evolution of google

Branded names examples (fantasy names) are
yoobi, squibble, squabble whatsoever....

digiasset
etc,etc I hope you know what I mean. But there is much deeper wisdom in it, many big sites have a special numerology number (the best numbers for business) one number is very very rare (master number) I have that with my brand domain name.....
check big sites (their names in numerology) or news sites and you will see that they all have these special numbers who are best for business.Example bloomberg= has number 8 , the money maker, the game changer....the manager....
Ok I must confess I be fascinated by the oldest numerology.

Not have numbers in domain name, I mean check the numerology number for your domain name !
My friend I don't know I start now with my three websites , two are not complete finished, next week. So later I will report here about traffic and seo ranking (multiple serps).
Use the oldest numerology (much older as the india numerology-google it ) use numerology calculators....(google)
But I give you some more interesting examples;
Microsoft (corporation name +domian name)= number 1= the leader in the business field
CNN Cable News Networks= number 1
Wall Street Journal = number 7 interesting it's a spiritual leader/coach number... but they use the name WSJ and this has= number 1 the leader...
Die Welt (big germany propaganda news) = number 1
byrdie.com= number 6 which is a big wealthy business number
The Sun= number 1
The Hill = number 8
my friend, not all using numerology on their domain names, some using numerology on their company names
hearstmedia= number 8 the money maker....
the godaddy have numerology explained on one of their blog posts with links to three numerology calculators unbelievable....
best numbers for wealthy business are; 1,5,6,8 .....
use the oldest numerology not the india and when you found a good domain name with a good business wealth number , tell nobody about your number! Not about your personal name number and not about your domain name number keep it secret !

Exact match domains are going to be harder to find. I would go with those if you can find them. You can always sell the domain later if it doesn't work out, as they're very in demand.

EMD are not hard to find mate! Yeah i agree with your selling part but it will be harder to sell after putting so much work and time in it!

Try it you have nothing too lose maybe you find one with a master number....
my master number is very rare only 0,8% of the world population. has it....
domain has 8 letters , it's hard to find 3,4,5 letters with com domain, most if not all are taken.Use tld list and use the oldest of numerology (not india) calculator (google it) and playing with letters and words so long you have found your domain with number, 1 or 6, 8 or master number..... first check your own personal name number, when it not has any of these numbers; 1,5,6,8 or. a master number, then create a brand domain.
But moment,. the number of your brand domain should be firendly (better you have it...) with your personal name number (easy to gogole)
Later I will report on my three (in one-two months...)
Finish my design these days then start curation.....
I must ask you guys, when I have a brand modern name domain, can someone steal it and register my domain as a trademark ? I hope not...

Must conbfess my short domain 8 letters with the numkerology master number is mora a brand name then pesonal.
Think of it as this; yoobi, squabble, mycast, some like this but not has my first name (markus) in it, you see that modern creative words ranking good in google no matter of their meanings.
Is it a good idea as a sterter entrepreneur without have a LLC, Co. or Ltd company to use a brand name or is a more personal name better?
