brand new here, android pay per download or install?

Hi this is my first post ever and first time trying to make money online.

my idea is to have a few top 10 app sites for certain niche app downloads on the android marketplace.

people can download the apps from a link on my site and i get paid 0.xx per install.

is this a thing? can this be done? sorry if this is in the wrong section or whatever. total noob.

please point me in the right direction.

i can even invest some money into whatever is necessary to start
