Brand New Forum For IMers - Advice Please?

Alright, I just started brand new forum for IMers and I was wondering.

How should I go about getting traffic to boost start the forum? I don't care much for paying for posters to the forum and the only traffic techniques I'm used to are posting on YouTube.

Anyone have any ideas/tips?

You should populate the forum first, hire some paid posters and if you dare use scrapped content. Then once you got a fair amount of content to keep a user coming back or nearly, then start posting on social networking sites and youtube. It doesn't hurt to start a competition for members. You can also ask family and friends to help out.
