I made a brand new channel and posted a short. 0 views in the feed.
I want to test if some views help push it forward. If you could help me in this experiment that would be great.

Use the platform's analytics tools to track how your content is performing. Check the number of views, likes, comments, and shares
 
Here's my understanding of it, the first 10-15 minutes are crucial, especially for a new and growing channel. If you get decent amount of comments and likes (views don't really matter in this scenario) that does give your video a boost.

Doesn't work everytime but I have had success with this strategy in the past.
 
Looks like this Niche could be working. The channel is only 2 hours old
