    Hi guys,

I'm making onsite SEO for a new brand. Is it better to include the brand's name in the title or have a secondary keyword instead? I assume it's pretty subjective but I'd like to know your results and opinion based on your experience.

    Example:
"keyword" | "keyword" | Brand Name

    or

"keyword" | keyword" | Free delivery

Does Google include the brand name in the title anyway?

    My option is

"keyword" | "keyword" | Brand Name

You can use the brand name in the end of the title tag. It will give assurance to users they are landing on the correct page.
In SEO point of view itself, it will help you.

What if I cannot fit the Brand name? Should I skip the secondary keyword from the title?

Keyword - Brand is the most successful pattern I've seen... but it isn't a requirement. Exceptions are common. I think the leading match in the title is the strong part. The delimiter doesn't appear to matter.

Can anybody confirm if Google adds the domain name to the title tag upon indexing?

Brand on homepage title only, anywhere else is a waste of keyword space.

They do but not consistently. Google also filters results that are too similar which is why you don't see a lot of results that are just exact match for keywords only. By adding brand you are avoiding the duplicate title filter problem with other websites

Unless you're amazon no one is searching for or cares for your brand. Having it on the homepage is enough to be found and rank for it. There is zero point putting it on all pages.

so what if someone will make exactly same brand name as yours and he will use brand in title? he will outbrand u

i used to strip titletag out of brand name but now i keep it to make things look branded. maybe it has seo benefit idk.

also on other site i have a kw in my brandname (partial match) so i keep it.

Outbrand me? Lol. I don't even know what that means and why the fuck it matters.

Far better ways to spend your time and better things to worry about than the minute chance someone copies your brand and then tries to outrank you for it.

Even then, as long as you have the brand in you homepage title, the page that normally has the most inbound links, you'll be fine. No search engine is going to rank an internal page for your brand anyway, having it in multiple pages won't do shit.

I'd rather rank internal pages for buying keywords then my brand, that the homepage ranks fine for anyway.

Telling people you know your shit, just makes you a wanker.

"as well as the same text in their snippets"

Title alone won't trigger it. You'd need duplicate snippets and most likely, duplicate on-page text. This filter is just to combat scrapers and aggregators.

Anyway, anyone who adds their brand to all their pages titles to make them unique is a fucking idiot, just write unique titles in the first place. Duh.
