    Hi,

I am using client site brand image(logo) for local directory. But one of my client don't want our logo on any other 3rd party site. Brand image use in 3rd party site is good seo or not?

    Thanks for advance.

I would go with what the client wants in this scenario. I don't think not having it would affect a lot.

Do what your client wants. In general, there's no harm in using brand image (logo) in local directories.

For SEO Purposes it makes no difference if the pic is a logo or something else.

For brand awareness, getting the logo in the citations is a requirement.

You should point out to your customer that getting his logo out there will increase band awareness, helping people to remember his service or product even when they cannot remember his name. In fact that is why logos exist.

It is good business to get that brand name and logo out there, it is good business to let your customer know the benefits before he makes a decision, and it is smart business to do what the customer wants after giving him all the options, even if what he wants is stupid.

It fully depends upon the client. For me, my client told to promote his brand logo as much as possible, where as i must promote it in the relevant niche.

You tell the customer what to do; I'm just amazed at the amount of people that come to BHW to ask shit about their clients.

How the hell do you get a client if you don't know your ABC???

If they don't want the image used, then you will likely not be allowed to use it. Then again, you might not have to as you can likely get any image to rank for their name, even one mildly associated with the niche/product.

Chances are, you could tag a picture of a dog (or any image you pick that actually relates) with your client's company name and have it rank in local search. The only way Google knows what pictures are about is due to the tags related to the image and the content near that image where it was originally found.
