Holy crap! Both of you have crazy fast speeds! How much are you paying for that?

One thing to note is, they are Mbps and not MBps. So your download speed will be like 8 times less than the speeds there. (Because download and stuffs shows stats in MBPS).

I did not know the difference. For those that are curious I found this over at wisegeek:

MBps is an abbreviation for Megabytes per second, whereas Mbps is an abbreviation for megabits per second. Eight megabits equal one Megabyte. These abbreviations are commonly used to specify how much data can be transferred per second between two points. In some cases, mbps is used as an abbreviation for megabits per second; however, the lowercase m technically means "milli" not "mega," so it doesn't really mean the same thing.

That being said, my new upgrade is basically 3 times faster than what I had before.

Seeing this thread, it makes my losing more hairs!

P.S: It took me 8 seconds to load this thread!

my home connection... as far as it is the best speed available in my place

Nothing to brag here, my speed was just 4 mb/s , after reading this thread upgraded it to 8 mb/s today ;) I was thinking of 100 MB/s plan but they said it's not available in my area... It costs around $50 per month for 8 MB/s here..

They have that kind of speed in Bulgaria now from the FTTH providers these days, the speeds have really improved over the past few years.

Romania. I pay for 200 Mb/s (download speed) and i get only 90.95 mb/s.
I pay 22.8 $ monthly (internet + wifi, digital tv, fix telephone)

I pay $54.99 for 30Mb/s down 4Mb/s up.
From local server:

To New York City
spdtst003.png
To the Netherlands

Since I'm currently on cable and not on the East Coast, will I lower the ms and increase % to local download speeds To NYC and the Netherlands by moving to the east coast(Florida) and getting fiber from Verizon?

Yes I'm from Bulgaria. Why do you doubt of the speed *abhi007* - this speed is normal here, we have many Internet providers that compete with each other. This is also an Optic Internet.

What kind of speeds do you get outside of Bulgaria? I was looking at some providers in Bulgaria a few months ago, and it seemed like the internet speeds are about 1/4 for outside of Bulgaria connection, but idk if they were referring to the upload speed or both upload and download.
