Is this good? I recently compared my analytics bounce rate now and a month ago. Before, I had an average bounce rate of 60-70%. Now I have a bounce rate of 2-3%. Is that good? Here's a picture:

That is very good. It shows that you website has something that tells people to browse other pages.

Good.

How did you do it? :)

All I did was post a ton of content (at least one 500 word article a day) and then I have this wordpress plugin called "related posts slider" and it automatically places related posts under the article.

And I also place internal links throughout my posts.

Also, on the sidebar, I have a "popular posts" widget (came with my theme) that also links to my posts.

I guess doing those will get you a low bounce rate :)

Since you made changes to your content and added bounce rate reducing factors this could be a real improvement for your site over time.

However, The 3% could also just be a report bug as one of my sites showed that my bounce rate went from 78% down to 1% and I haven't made a single change. It was at 0-1% for about 2 weeks and then came back up and settled at 68%.

yeah, the changes you made to the site seems to be working!

Now, The next step would be to think of ways how u can monetize the traffic :)

Errr, recheck your code. That doesn't make sense to have that sharp of a drop unless your having some either very low traffic, or some very high spikes of traffic. Possibly someone refreshing hard on your sites or something worse. If you can, look at your visitor paths, ( I don't know if analytics has this but statcounter does) and just see if people are really moving around the site like that.

Looks like a measure/report bug. IMHO.

Why?

The changes he made is well worth to get it down to 2.5%. Good job OP, now start monetizing ;)

You must be kidding, right? :) Even CNN.com has about 48% bounce rate. What kind of site the OP has if it's almost 20 times more interesting to the surfers than CNN or even porn.com?

Thats organic traffic! If you optimize the website even sub 10% are possible.. Its all about how well you know your stuff! (we use getclicky for all our stats)

It's all about the tool you are using to measure the bounce rate ;)

Hint: Check yours with Alexa

It is good that your blogs bounce rate reduced. Google is considering bounce rate and site speed as important factors to decide SERP of a website. Therefore reducing bounce rate is really very good. I have some wordpress blogs and all blogs have more than 50% bounce rate. I will follow your techniques to reduce it.

Congrats on the accomplishment. This is what happens when you provide on target and interesting content. You should also notice your earnings will increase due to the visitors being more interested in the offers/adsense being presented.

Yup I'm very grateful of it too :o
Once I start making around $50 a day, I will donate to this awesome community :)

Just wanted to add one more thing.
Check your page to make sure you don't have two instances of google analytics code. I was searching this up the other day and noticed that a lot of people with very very low bounce rates actually had two analytics codes simultaneously being updated with each visitor. (Usually one in the header and another by the wordpress widget.)
