Hello guys, my bounce rate is usually between 50%-40% but in the last four days it decreased to about 5%-4% and now it's really affecting my organic traffic don't know if it's blackhat SEO or an internal problem, any advice please ?

Did you add any new events etc to GA? Anything that could cause another event to get sent to GA would cause a decrease in bounce rate.
I did but it was month ago that I added events but decreased bounce rate only appeared these last four days so I guess it has nothing to with the sudden decrease

And you have confirmed those new events have been showing for a month? Could happen that you made the change but didn't get published until now.

yes I verified and it's been a month since they are published

I have found exactly the same issue with one of my websites. In fact yesterday the bounce rate was 0.5%

No idea why this is happening but I'll be trying to get to the bottom of it later today

Good luck please share if any solution is found I will do the same thnx

The only recent change I've made to my website is installing Rank Math Pro.

My current train of thought is that perhaps this may have placed the analytics code for a second time on the site.

This would cause problems with the bounce rate.

Duplicated analytics code can cause the problem yes but that doesn't seem to be the same problem for me

How can a lower bounce rate affect your website?

I was also thinking the same, isn't a lower bounce rate a good thing ? meaning less people are leaving the website ? maybe i misunderstood what OP was saying or something or maybe I'm missing something.

Exactly....OP saw a decrease of bounce rate and got scared.....low bounce rate is a good thing.

hahaaha, i know! Crazy stuff! Hopefully he's recovered after such a shock.

A low bounce rate should be a very good thing. But a bounce rate of 4-5% or even just 0.5% is rather unrealistic.
Are you sure you're talking about the bounce rate here and not some other metric?

Just a heads up, the OP is still recovering from the shock, would you mind giving him a day or 2 to get things together, to cope and understand such a traumatic event of his bounce rate lowering by 5%, prey for the snow flake, we as BHW, will unite together to help in these turbulence times.

Why don't I ever get traumatized like that?

So your saying you've never had a 5% decrease in bounce rate before ? but then again, it's only the real bad asses that get a 5% decrease. OP is still busy seeking counselling because of it, what a life changing event :-(

So your saying you've never had a 5% decrease in bounce rate before ?

But the OP didn't say "Bounce Rate decreased by 4%-5%" but "Bounce Rate decreased to 4%-5%". That means the bounce rate would actually have been as low as 4%-5%. And that was before OP said "In fact yesterday the bounce rate was 0.5%".

In any case, my best wishes to the OP. May they recover from that nasty shock soon and may their bounce rate once again rise sky-high where it (apparently) belongs.

what it means when bounce rate is 0% for some keywords?

what it means when bounce rate is 0% for some keywords?

It probably means nobody ever searched for them and thus you have no data

0% with a high volume kw is impossible IMO
