Bought a PR 5, it wont get crawled/indexed

So I bought a PR 5 domain and slapped some links on it to see it help ranke a money sit of mine. Problem is the damn thing wont get crawled by google to find my links.

The domain was not deindexed, a Site:"domain.com" search brings back like 10 pages from the older site.

Any ideas when this thing will get crawled, its been about 10 days.

Let Google know the page was updated... Ping it.

Or when all else fails, build backlinks to it.

update it to google and verify your site by meta tag this can change and also submit to some good search engines

I have pinged it, guess backlinks is the next step

Ping it, build backlinks to it and ping those backlinks. Are you sure it's a real PR5? Usually sites with that PR range get crawled way more regularly.

That's not true lol.

I have a PR5, and sometimes it takes 2-3 weeks for Google to re-index changes.

Make sure that the robots.txt file is not blocking them.

If you left it as an static html page and its not indexing, Install wordpress on it and add a few pages of content. For whatever reason, adding wordpress seems to pop things in gear.

Also, I have had seemingly high pr sites show as the old website in google and end up deindexed.
