botnet likes?

Hi,
I noticed that one of the services i used to get likes were obviously "botted" but they came from real and active accounts. I am wondering if these accounts were hacked while the users do not know theyre accounts were hacked and then whenever someone purchases likes to a photo, the services makes a botnet out of the accounts and instructs the accounts (unknown to the actual owners) to like the photo. ?

social media farms one person can keeps a lot of accounts active and looking real, also there is jarvee and socinator which can simulate human actions

These accounts are called Brutus. They are obtained either by filling accounts, or they are stolen through cookies. A large number of people on Instagram do not check their mail and do not watch the log of their activity inside Instagram. So people use it

Plus, now if you make a massive registration and postpone accounts for a while, Instagram will ban them, and if you are active, the page will live. It's the hard way now - keeping your army of bots

Ok thanks, I thought that these accounts were more likely to be compromised. Im sure that they are not fake or filled accounts created by scripting.

But what do you mean "brutus" I did a search and found nothing on that term

These are accounts that were stolen in various ways. Unfortunately there are some of them too =(
