They used to have a thread on BHW. I'm thinking about buying their Dev version, and wanted to know if anyone is using it to make anything useful.

Anyone?

I'm completely new to making bots, but I've got a few ideas I'd like to try.

I've not heard good things about BotChief, but haven't tested it myself so can't vouch personally. I do know from firsthand experience that both ZennoPoster and Ubot are awesome. Downside to ZP is that you can't compile standalone bots and have to pay a hefty fee per license to distribute through their ZennoBox platform. Ubot is awesome but has a few quirks, but there are a lot of plugins for it that can help with workarounds. My favorite Ubot plugin is the Csharp compiler so you can add any custom c# code in, and aren't limited to the platform's specific functions.

waa contacted via the staff today i asked for a manual told me the video are all old and new ones are comming soon ....

i been looking my self .

there some free ones out there aswell use google.

ubot , bot chief , one on here forget name ...all cost....

@phr0zt, it seems that BotChief is also very "C# friendly".

Came across this post, which a user was asking some questions, last year.
And I also saw this, during a Google search:

Now one thing I saw, that I didn't like, with regards to BotChief, is how quickly a (what I thought was a good) feature request was shot down, due to it's difficulty level:

I mean, I'd assume that with the C# Integration, it should be something a user could create for their clients (or at the very least, something that's doable), but that's not what I perceive to be optimal customer service. Everyone has their own browser of choice, so giving your users the option to decide which browser to use, and especially because different browsers act differently in different (an in some cases, the same) situations. I thought it was a valid request for the staff to at least look into. Apparently, they did not. I do, however, like the approach they took with the 2nd question. Still, I believe that both were valid requests.

The built in Ubot browser is definitely less than optimal, but I purchased and recommend the ExBrowser plugin, which allows you to automate Chrome or FireFox, it's pretty powerful for the price.

I figured since BotChief has a 7 day trial, I'd give it a go and see how I like it. It's a good thing for that, because this software is a bit daunting.

Don't recommend this tool, if anyting else that will be Zenoposter

I don't have any experience with Botchief but I have a little bit with Zenno and about 4 years going on 5 with UBot.

If you're in the market for tool that lets you build your own automation UBot is it. It literally changed my life.

I have no affiliation with UBot. Matter of fact I've voiced my issues with their update pricing scheme in past posts. But between the plugins and the ability to create and compile your own software it's worth the price of admission.

It's introduced me to computer programming altogether.

UBot = automation of the Web = power over the Web. At least until you learn how to code yourself should you go that route.

Does Ubot simply grant you the ability to interact with things that would happen inside browsers, or does it give you more control, like interacting with games, other applications, etc?

Yes It is very good, solves many common problems. I hope more members of the forum get to use it, coz its for free

BotChief is easy for beginners and does not require programming knowledge. I'm using a free version and made a bot that blogs automatically. Customer service support is also better.

Better than? Looks like a spammy first post.

Chatfuel is easy to use and it is also free.

What? BotChief isn't even a chatbot.
