Bot traffic / suspicious clicks

Reddit traffic can be tricky. Filtering by subreddits carefully helped me avoid most junk clicks
 
Well I am helping a guy who's targeted by Google ad click fraud.

You have much better parameters and can sort this at CF layer mostly.

Reddit doesn't give you jack shit about insight, so you want to check that on your landing destination by custom script or cf, it's terrible working without the relevant GET params.
 
Use simple UTM + IP/UA filters on bot clicks in niche subreddits, tighten placements on Reddit Ads, set up conversion-optimized landing/CPA tracking instead of clicks.
 
Check your landing page for slow scripts or tracking codes that might trigger bot activity.
 
Reddit has a lot of low quality and bot traffic, try adding filters, tracking tools, and optimize for conversions not clicks.
 
Set up click filters in your tracker, block suspicious IPs, and pause low-quality sources quickly.

reddit ads are known for bot clicks, try switching to 'manual cpc' and turn off 'expanded targeting' to stay only in the subreddits you picked.
 
bro reddit have lot of bot clicks, use better tracking and block bad placements and maybe add captcha on landing page.
 
high CTR with zero conversions is the classic Reddit ads experience lol. turn off expanded targeting and audience network, stick to manual CPC, and add a simple honeypot or JS check on your landing page to filter bots before they even hit your tracking. also check if most clicks come from the same few IPs, that's a dead giveaway
 
maybe try block suspicious IPs and add bot filter in analytics, reddit traffic sometimes give many useless clicks.
 
Yeah, looks like bots messing clicks, maybe use IP filter or exclude weird traffic sources.

Probably bot traffic, tighten geo and device targeting, add CAPTCHA or server side validation, block suspicious IPs, exclude bad placements, and focus on conversions not clicks.

Yeah this happen sometimes with reddit traffic, lot of junk clicks come, first thing check your analytics like bounce rate, time on site, if its like 1-2 sec then mostly bots, try use some bot filter or cloudflare, also track with different tool not only ads panel, maybe add simple captcha or restrict some placements, and better target more specific subreddits or test small budget first, reddit traffic need lot of testing, not always clean.
 
Yeah, I’ve seen that too. CTR looks solid but conversions tank because a chunk of clicks were bots. I started filtering traffic at the source—block shady IPs, tighten placements, and validate conversions server-side before counting them. If you spot odd spikes, check CVR vs. clicks and bounce rate and maybe add a simple CAPTCHA on the form.
 
this happen lot with reddit ads bro, many clicks not real people, just bots or useless traffic, thats why no conversion… first check ur analytics like time on site, bounce rate, location, if all look weird then its bad traffic… try exclude bad countries, use better targeting, maybe change subreddit or test new creatives… also add captcha or some filter on landing page… and best is track conversions properly and pause what not working.

in my experience this happen alot with reddit traffic bro, ctr look good but no conversions = mostly junk/bot clicks, what i do is first add tracker (like binom/redtrack) and check ip, user agent, time on page, you will see patterns, then block bad ips and suspicious placements, also use cloaking(Trafficguardian/Trafficshield) or simple bot filter (cloudflare rules help), reduce bids on bad subreddits and focus only on ones giving real engagement (scroll, time), sometimes also add extra step like landing page click before offer to filter bots, reddit traffic need heavy filtering otherwise it just eat budget fast.

We suggest tightening your targeting to specific subreddits while using a click-fraud tool.
