I saw a thread recently about finding magento sites which are outdated / need security patches + contact information so that you can contact them for work.

Now, this grabbed my interest so I built this program and can get ~200k websites for magento without filtering, but it can also filter by country etcetera.

I'm considering adding support for finding additional CMSs for scraping all of the various types.

Would there be any interest in this? (paid of course...) Obviously I'm new here I generally don't browse blackhatworld I typically freelance on sites like fiverr etcetera, but this is more fitting here for obvious reasons.

To put this into perspective.... a single subscription for getting the website list alone would cost you ~$300 from builtwith.com or similar places. This gets that for free + contact info for you + security concerns + potentially other CMSs

I think you are onto something. I would advise you to develop it and pitch it to webdesign agencies. What pricing did you have in mind?

Why web design agencies? If you don't mind me asking. Coming from a pure programming background rather than web marketing not sure why that's the go to niche. Also, along those same lines... as for pricing no idea yet. For a full blown program, past what I already have written working with just magento, for all CMSs easily a couple of hundred if not more.

The sites I mentioned charge 300+ monthly just for getting the website lists versus everything that this program could do. Then, considering this is a one time purchase which you then have indefinitely + continued support I'd provide.

On the business side.... Imagining you run this across just magento get 200k websites 1% of those contact you do cheap patches for 200 / pop that's roughly 400k worth the potential business... Expanding that across every CMS is exponential.

If you have any insights into pricing I'd appreciate them.

You are reinventing the wheel

there are existing code search engines which you can use and input footprints

https://publicwww.com
https://nerdydata.com/search
https://searchcode.com

Additionally any basic website spider
https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/s...tool-for-link-list-creation-expansion.730690/
https://docs.scrapy.org/en/latest/topics/spiders.html (free and works with aws or their cloud)
http://80legs.com/products/giant-web-crawl/ (paid)

with /without footprint detection as necessary (such as scrapebox page scanner addon)
will work just as fine

I said web design agencies as they could use the software to look up such sites and pitch their services. Web design agencies are always looking for ways to make more money.
