I read about the pro and the cons... but I also want to hear your opinion about these frameworks and which one should someone pick. I really like Materialize's look and after some test, it seems lighter than Bootstrap. On the other hand, this last one seems the best for responsiveness.

What do you think about?

Bootstrap

Material design is too limited and the sites all end up looking the same if you actually follow their design principles.

I just use the bootstrap grid without any other assets. Then build from there.

That's exactly why Materialize is invented - recognizable elements for the end users.

Unless you're building an app for some specific purpose, for general sites I wouldn't want it to look like a canned solution.

Bootstrap also has more people available to work and cheaper maintenance if you need to hire to fix.

Yeah, I actually like the modern elements easily recognizable

It definitely has more support from the community, that's another thing that I considered.

Thank for who answered so far =)

I get your point but using something recognizable makes it easier to use your website for a lot of users since they do not have to think and everything comes naturally. Exactly for general sites it is a great solution as well for people who don't have that much experience with building websites or structure.

I'm not using it for my own sites tho but clients love it.

You are right for Bootstrap: Much more developers use it so it will more logic to use it from a business/developer side.

I would probably use bootstrap as you can build the fondamentals with it then modify it at your own placement

Well bootstrap is obviously more popular, and materialize is fixed with the material designs.
If you liked material design, I remember bootstrap also has it. Can check it out.
