Lately I been reading about link pyramids.

The idea is that you create backlinks in levels.

One example could be:

Bookmarks > Profile links > web 2.0 props > Moneysite

Bookmarks linking to profile links, that link to web 2.0 props, that finally links to your moneysite.

Now I have about 40 web 2.0 props and 30 ezine article pointing to my money site. But there is no links that point to these sites.

Would it be a good idea to create lets say 25 profile links to each web 2.0 property and ezine article and maybe bookmark these profiles so I end up with a giant link pyramid.

I could also create some video and article links to boost the ezine and web 2.0 prop even further.

My question is will it be worth the effort and what kind of result should I expect?

Or is there an even better way to boost these links?

Thanks

Yes and Yes and Yes!!

Only there is no reason to build 25 links. The good thing about web 2.0 and article sites is you can throw as many links as you want at them. Xrumer the hell out of them for a few months till they each have 25k links.

That's exactly right: the point of link pyramids is to be able to harness the sheer power of xrumer without risking penalty to your money site, because of the extra layer or two in between the two.

Thanks for the answers.

The profiles I had in mind are high PR profiles (Angela style). I don't own xrumer and I wonder if it will have any effect to throw 25 - 50 high PR profile links at each web 2.0 prop.

That plan is being sold as a service and is advertised as being very effective. Can anyone confirm that?

"Angela and Paul backlinks" are links in profiles on high PR sites. Do a search if the concept is new to you.

I would still like an answer to the original question. Anyone?

As long as you are sending links to web 2.0 properties or to other back links, you can pretty much try every which way as you will not be hurting your money site. The point is to take action and actually start doing it.

No one here is going to tell you that the method will work for sure. My advice would be - try it out for yourself and put some action into it.
