Boosting Etsy search results

My stores products aren't ranking on the first page for any of my target keywords. Anybody know how I can improve this? Would buying traffic to specific products work? I have hundreds of products in a pretty specific niche. The company I work for uses the same description for each of the items, with not much variation between them..should I change that?

OP I don't know how its search engine works, But you can rank Etsy pages damn easily in Google, I saw few people messing in good niches.
