I am in a band, and we currently are creating YouTube covers (Full band/just instruments/just vocals) of songs that are relevant to our genre (Metal/Punk, think AFI meets Avenged Sevenfold). How can I go about getting these videos around and ranked when someone searched for just the song by itself?

You can promote your channel by name on related videos.

Do you mean by just commenting on a related video with my channel name?

Nope. Promote your channel from other accounts if your channel name is unique. It can looks something like fans support. If comments are interesting, then people are starting to look for your channel. Take in mind that your channel must be interesting for people.

Music now a days, is more than talent. It`s looks, it`s age, it`s camera, it`s background.

Anyway, if you think you got all those approach a black hat method and pay for a Twitter/Facebook bot, buy proxies, start creating accounts or buy them, get followers/likes, send messages, post updates on all accounts.

I run 80 Twitter accounts and 50 Facebook accounts, they get me anywhere between 200 views to 2000 views a day. Besides these, the accounts got me a verified Facebook page with over 5k+ fans and 7k+ followers on Twitter. As for YouTube I have 5k+ subscribers.

Im a pop singer, doing original songs.

To get a facebook page verified is easy. to get a Twitter profile verified NOT so easy. No, not Twitter got me verified at least not directly, the views I got from Twitter and my website did.
