Which one is better?

I want to make a site focused mainly on events and these 2 scripts seem best so far.

Which one is easier to customize?

I want to give visitors the possibility to sign up on the site, and post the newest events they know of: parties, concerts etc...

The Dolphin script has the plugins already integrated but it also has many other options that i don't need. It's more like a social network.

Joomla need to be customized and i don't really know how to do it yet because i haven't worked with it yet.

So, can Joomla be fully customized (if i buy the right plugins) to serve my needs or not?

C'mon guys anyone?

Where's ukeskuba when i need him? LoL

Go for Joomla. It's very easy to learn and customize. Have a look here for components related to Events

Code:
 extensions . joomla . org/extensions/calendars-a-events/events

i don't know about Dolphin but in order to create a social network in Joomla you'll need some knowledge in customizing the layouts

the best is microweber... i am using it in the earlyy beta and i hope they release it soon to the public. BH will rock with it

Here's what i want to do:

I want to make a category for each city with all the clubs/discos and post every event for each city. I also want to give the members the possibility to post events and in a few months i will charge $1 for each event. Payment via paypal.

Can i do this in joomla?

I also want to make other categories like pictures and videos from the clubs and other news about singers and bands and any upcomming events.

So can't this be done with Joomla? If yes, how can i do it? Is it hard>?

almost all kind of sites can be created in joomla. Yes you can do it but it'll be time consuming
