BOOKMARKING DMN VS SOCIAL SBMTR - The Real Difference

Okay so Bookmarking Demon and Social Submitter are priced about the same.

Social submitter comes with 180 (upgraded from 160) bookmarking sites. And their high PR/Authority sites for the most part. The GUI/App is optimized for speed and ease of use with very little learning curve.

Bookmarking Demon out of the box gives little in the way of effective bookmarking sites by comparison. However, it has richer functionality with a learning curve allowing you to (on expert level) add your own sites, etc. I dont know what limitations there are - 100's? 1000s?

From what I can tell, they are about equal aside from that -
social submitter - more automated funcionality, more built in sites 4 subm
bookmarking demon - less automated - more ability to add/customize sites to which you submit -


DOES ANYONE HERE HAVE experience with both? Their both priced at $150.00 - which one would recommend -

what are the differences beyond the items listed above?

If I was you, I'd try an older version from the downloads section, just to see how the software has functioned in the past. In my experience BMD is good because it does the signup for you. That, to me, is the most painful part of the whole social bookmarking thing. Have you tried onlywire? it's free.

social submitter does the sign up to - i wasnt sure if demon did - good to know - good tips too, i'll check them out and i havent tried onlywire yet - will do

does anyone have the social submitter... ive been looking for it...

I was wrong, social submitter does not automate the sign up -
sadness

Bookmarking demon is superb I cannot say the same for social submitter as I haven't used it but if it is like all the other X submitter apps I wouldn't even bother downloading a cracked version of it. BMD does what you would expect and then some.

ok but every BMD i download doesnt work from here... does anyone have 1 that works...

I agree - Bookmarking Demon is great. I wouldn't even look at an app that won't do the signup portion - that definitely is the most annoying part. The only problem I see with BMD (besides the fact that it doesn't seem to work that great when minimized - it slows my computer down to a halt) is that it's not very fast and doesn't have good logs. It doesn't even give you the URLS for the bookmarked site's pages - and it even has a pinging function. So what good is the pinging function if you don't even have the URLs. I guess you could use it for the sites your bookmarking, etc..

I have social submitter, but i don't have bookmarking demon, but with my experience social submitter is great many big social bookmarking site is in their list, i hear many complain with bookmarking demon, but i never see any complain with social submitter, the biggest problem with social submitter is the price you must pay $50 for update your database, and automatic sign up, but i really get many success with social submitter.
